Final Concert of the 2013-2014 School Year

Here we are again, the last concert of the year.  We were amazed at what these talented Middle School and High School students played for us.  Stockton and Parker were both in concert band, and Stockton was again in the Jazz Band.
Parker tried to hide behind the stand, but I got him eventually!
Stockton, jazzing it up in his solo for a jazz piece.

Here is the very small jazz ensemble.  When they went to competitions, the adjudicators could not believe that they produced such a great sound with so few members!

The high school played some amazing music to round out the year.

Honor Band 2014

Stockton was chosen as an alternate for the audition only tri-county honor band for 2014.  Luckily, he was able to go because someone else had to back out.  Getting photos of the concerts is about impossible.  But here are some fun photos of his trip to Denver.

They went to:  The Denver Zoo, the Aquarium, a production of Sisters of Swing, a Chicago concert, the Denver Pavillions, Mini Golf, Laser Tag, Racecars, oh. . .and they played a few concerts!

Congratulations, Stockton!!

Track, Take 2

I always forgot my camera when I went to Stockton's track meets, luckily someone took some photos and put them on the school website so I could get a shot from there.
Off the blocks.
Parker tried all kinds of different things this year.  He added some new events toward the end of the season.
WAY above the bar.
Trying to get out of traffic in the 200, he ended up getting 2nd in this race
(his nemises is the kid in the red just behind him, he took 1st).

We are done for another year.  Way to go boys!

Lagooned, the musical

After taking a year off, the school did another play this year.  Stockton had the part of Cody.  Here are some photos from the exciting nights. . .
Explaining something to the captain of the shipwrecked crew.

Confused at the crazy old ladies from the ship.

Chatting it up with the island princess and her attendants.

Staring contest with his friend Greg, who played the witch doctor.
Stockton had a great time with the play, even with the 6:30 a.m. practices that went on for weeks.  Congrats, Stockton and thank goodness you didn't break a leg!!

Racing, Jumping Beans

Track season is upon us once again.  All three of the boys are involved this year.  Here are some photos of Brigham and Parker at their first meet.
Brigham doing hurdles-scary for mom to watch, but he loves it.

Parker winning his 100 heat with style by a mile.

Triple jumping bean, Parker.
Brigham finishing the 800.
They either freeze or fry during their meets, welcome to spring in Montana.  Good job boys!

Enough Already!!!!!

We have had over 100 inches of snow this year.  Our last 3 inches came on April 12th.  I have cancelled seminary so much this year we had to make up for about 10 days-argh!!!  I have had it, I am done, I want spring to get here NOW.  Our poor hyacinths haven't even got buds on them yet.  Snow, snow, go away don't come back ANYMORE!!! (okay, venting done).

Since we can't see him off at the airport, I thought this would be the next best picture.

Welcome to your life for the next two years, Elder Smith.  Note to California:  Please be nice!!
