Passing Lane
Track season has begun. Mitchell is running distances this year. He has run the 2 mile the 1 mile and the 4x400 relay. Here he is passing a few runners on the way to the finish line. Run like the wind!!!
Almost Wanted
To our surprise Mitchell came home one day and told us he auditioned for the school play. We never thought he would do something like this, but he really enjoyed it. He had the opening lines of the play and did a fabulous job with all his parts. He is really coming out of his shell this year with the play, swing choir and all of his sports and music. The hair has been cut since this picture was taken. But the make-up along with the Justin Beiber hair was almost too much to take.
March Madness
Stockton's basketball season was very late this year. Here is a picture of him on a break-away. He played on both the 7th and 8th grade teams. The 7th grade won all their games and the 8th grade won all but two. Good job Stockton!!
Derby Domination
Last month we had the annual pinewood derby. Brigham's car has won consistently since he first started. He usually takes first place, and that has not changed this year. He took first in a multi-Pack race and third place at the District race. Now his car is headed to Helena for the state race. Good luck Briggs!!

My addiction. . .
READING!!!!!!
These books range from literary classics to children's books to political books to religious books. I have been at it for a little over a month and have gotten a little sidetracked. . .
Unfortunately, I have fallen off the wagon (wasting time in the library waiting for a kid is bad for an addict-("Mam, I need you to back away from the books"--LOL!!!). I am trying to resist buying any new books until I have read what is in the house already. We'll see how that goes. . .

Our Little Girl
We finally have the opportunity to raise a girl. And yes, she is as a big a pain in the rear as I thought a girl would be. We are too old for babies!!!!! Her name is Harley and she is feisty, hyper, cute and growing fast. She is a German Draahthar, so Jared hopes to use her to hunt birds. Her mom was a chocolate lab and English pointer mix and the dad was a purebred draahthar. She is as hard-wired for bird hunting as a dog can get!!! The boys love her and she is very spoiled. This picture was taken a few days after we got her. She has grown so much over the last few weeks it is amazing. Although we should not be surprised with how much she eats. I have never seen a dog eat as much as she does. She is already showing proficiency at fetching, pointing and tracking, so we have hope she will be a great bird dog. The training has not begun in earnest yet, but her days of being a pampered princess are numbered!!
