New Neighbors

We have recently had a small flock of turkeys taking up residence in our yard. They are wild, but love to be fed bread. There is one big bully who tries to steal food from the others. I have named him Earl.

Santa Came

Christmas was great this year. Santa made a stop at our house bringing gifts to put smiles on all our faces. Mitchell received his coveted cell phone; Stockton will start a new career with his harmonica; Parker was jamming to his new MP3 player (which has subsequently bit the dust); and Brigham likes racing his color changing Hot Wheels. Merry Christmas!!!

O Tannenbaum

What a wonderful sight to behold on Christmas Eve. It has always been a tradition to take a picture of the tree after Santa's visit. What a beautiful tower of light that brings joy to everyone who sees it.

The Real Reason for the Season

He is the reason for the season. I think my favorite Christmas decoration is our nativity set. This was a gift from my mother years ago and I still love it!!! What wonderfuls gifts our Savior has given us. Through His atonement we can remove the stains of this world and through His resurrection, we can once again dwell in the presence of our creator. How could one not have hope with this knowledge.

But do you recall. . .

The Christmas programs were fun this year!!! Parker's was first, and, of course, I forgot the camera. We did get a picture on Jared's phone, but I don't have that one right now. Brigham played Rudolph in his program. He nose and antlers had flashing lights. It was great to see them sing, dance and have a good time.

Resolutions??? What are those. . .

Since I finally feel on the mend after being sick for the past three weeks. I believe it is time to think about the new year and goals that I would like to accomplish. The list will include the usual suspects (i.e., lose weight, be more organized, complete the mile-long list of unfinished projects). However, the biggest goal is to stay up on my blog and preserve the memories of my family. Be prepared for a barage of posts as I get caught up on the holiday happenings. Here we go. . .

2009 Bucks

Here is the muley that Jared shot on a trip with his friend Kenny and the whitetail buck Mitchell shot in our field this year.
